Stretching Giraffe

Stretching Giraffe

This shot was taken at Lake Cathie (pronounced Kat-eye), just south of Port Macquarie.
Why ‘Stretching Giraffe’?
Seeย the top of the tree trunk – I reckon it looks like a giraffe’s head stretching for some leaves. Don’t you think?
I freakin’ love these winter days in Port! ๐Ÿ™‚

Norfolk Guard

Norfolk Guard

A lone Norfolk Pine Tree stands guard over Town Beach, Port Macquarie.
The view is North towards Crescent Head and beyond.
Note the great white shark lurking just behind the surfers about to catch the next wave.
Just kidding…I think it’s a bull shark ๐Ÿ™‚

Pelican Wharf

Pelican Wharf

Hastings River, Port Macquarie.
Nice day to cruise around the wharf looking for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
I wonder if pelicans take pride in the size of their beaks or whether they’re mocked by other bird species at social gatherings…
“Hey pelican! Yeah, you. Your name wouldn’t happen to be ‘Bill’ would it?”
(laughter erupts around the party, led by the Kookaburras)
